“This is a fan letter about Jeff Dirkes.  Of course, you already know he is fantastic.  I’m writing because I want you to know how very pleased I am with the work he has accomplished, at the 4th Avenue commercial buildings, over the past 10+ years.
My first experience with Jeff was many years ago, when he showed his extraordinary kindness in working with my mother, who unfortunately had bothbi-polar disorder and the onset of dementia.  Jeff had the unique ability to interact with her in a way that calmed her, plus, he provided the highest quality work.  For me, as you can imagine, it was an absolute relief to have Jeff in charge; finally the buildings received their long overdue painting and they looked fantastic.
More recently, since the end of 2011, the buildings have undergone a voluntary ADA upgrade and extensive renovations.  Three of the four buildings received a combination of paint and stucco on the outside.  On the inside, walls and ceilings received either paint over new plaster or paint over existing paint.  Included in the three buildings are two units that had existing tenants and five units available for lease.  Bud Marsh, of Colliers International, the broker who found tenants for the five renovated units, said he was very fond of coming to the property and showing it, because it looked so good.
The fourth building is a work in progress.  It is a comfort to know that Jeff is available to continue to plan and oversee the work as it evolves.
Throughout the time I have known Jeff, he has provided the highest quality work for the 4th Avenue buildings.  He won’t rest until it is the way it needs to be.  What stands out about him is his integrity and kindness, his ability to listen, his wealth of knowledge and superb skill at problem solving-he always has a solution and he is amazing with color- his management style with the people who work for him and his deep caring about the work he does.
Congratulations to you for having the foresight to bring into your company such a fine person.”

“Our beach house has needless to say needed a paint job over the years and it had defiantly been too long since.  Phillips Painting Inc.  under Rob Phillips came in without a flinch.  They did a great job on the prep and went over and beyond fixing and doing wood repair.  The house is better then new which I did not think was possible.  Thank you very much Phillips Painting Inc.” Dr. William Heide

“I wanted to take this moment and thank your crew and you for completing and amazing job painting the downstairs of our home.  The guys were super fast and the attention to detail was just what Tom and I were hoping for.  Again, thank you for a job well done. Tom and I look forward in having the remainder of our home completed soon!” Becky Howe

“On behalf of the entire San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, please accept my heartfelt thanks for your donation of service and support.  I have received so many positive comments about the professional painting that was done in the common area of the 3rd and 4th floor and the payroll section at Fire headquarters.  Your direction of time, effort, and material can not be understated.” Javier Mainar

Fire Chief , San Diego Fire-Rescue Department

“WOW!  Thank you so much for making my job a whole lot easier.  Rob Phillips gave me many different samples for the front door, shutters, and cabinets.  Everything looks so great and just like the sample with their artistic twist.  They have worked for me before and will continue to work for me in the future.  Thank you!” Laura Simmons

“Rob, I write this to compliment the quality of work done by David Redial today.  He arrived on time, which I find a bit rare in the contracting world.  I was quite impressed with the care he demonstrated when moving furniture around.  At the end everything was nicely put back in place, and he even “swiffered” the floor.  He also painted the baseboards behind the washer/dryer and refrigerator, which many could have easily ignored.  Obviously he had pride in his work and gave attention to details.  When he got started in the living/ dining area.  I retreated to the bedroom to practice exercises given for my hip surgery recovery.  Having not slept well last night, I fell asleep.  David worked so quietly, providing a very healing atmosphere.  During the day I had a couple other contractors and a health care person in at various times.  David served as my doorman.  My son called about noon and was quite surprised at the progress David had made.  He had expected that the job might require a second day.  I also compliment you on you mandating break and lunch times for your employees.  It was a blessing to me to have David in my home today.” Lenona Carlburg
